The Waikanae Millennium Rebus Club is a group of “Active Retirees”…
Many of us have lived here in Waikanae for years, others have moved here more recently and our membership is open to any residents (men or women) who are interested in joining us…
The purpose of the club is to provide opportunities for members to experience companionship, intellectual stimulus and enjoyable activities.
We are affiliated to REBUS NZ. The name REBUS represents Retired Business people. You can check out their website at https://www.rebus.nz
Club Meetings:
We get together once a month for a meeting featuring a speaker and an opportunity to mix and catch up with each other, and meet new people.
Each meeting starts with club notices and upcoming events, followed by a 10 minute speech from an existing member, afternoon tea and a presentation from the guest speaker from outside the club.
We also meet in smaller groups to indulge in a range of optional activities (some weekly and some monthly) such as a walking and coffee group, a cycling group and a golf group.
The Waikanae Millennium Club meets on the first Tuesday of each Month at the Waikanae Community Centre, 28 Utauta Street, Waikanae from 2pm-4pm.
Book and jigsaw library
A selection of books and jigsaws is set up on tables at our monthly meetings. Recently we have added DVDs.
There is no check list to sign, if you would like to borrow them just help yourself and no time limit applies.
